Experience Alchemy! See fresh milk become curds and whey! This hands-on cheesemaking demonstration offers a glimpse of the science and art of making great and simple cheese at home! Participants will be asked to assist.

Additional Cheesemaking Demo offered by Shelburne Farms
Visit the historic Farm Barn at the heart of Shelburne Farms. Observe our cheesemakers at work crafting handmade cheddar in the production room, stroll around the courtyard, and befriend the animals in the Children’s Farmyard. Cheesemaking puts the “Farm” in Shelburne Farms — learn how cheese supports our education programs for sustainability, or simply relax in this beautiful place. We are making cheese 9:00 am–3:30 pm on Festival day. To get to the Farm Barn, take a twenty minute walk through the woods, catch a wagon ride, or make the short drive from the Coach Barn.
