Cheesemaking at Shelburne Farms

Visit the historic Farm Barn at the heart of Shelburne Farms. Observe our cheese- makers at work crafting handmade cheddar in the production room, stroll around the courtyard, and befriend the animals in the Children’s Farmyard. Cheesemaking puts the “Farm” in Shelburne Farms — learn how cheese supports our education programs for sustainability, or simply relax in this beautiful place. We are making cheese 9:00 am–3:30 pm on Festival day. To get to the Farm Barn, take a twenty minute walk through the woods, catch a wagon ride, or make the short drive from the Coach Barn.
